My best investment

I have long curly frizzy hair. Any styler I had was making my hair lose it’s shine and ends. But dyson is like a magic - my hair shines, it has perfect ends, it doesn’t overdry my hair. To have my curls stay longer - it’s better to use styling gel and spray.

I was really surprised at how difficult this air wrap was to use. I’ve been curling my hair for many years and I’ve never experienced such a difficult tool. My hair is thick and naturally wavy. Unfortunately this tool doesn’t work for me because my hair dries too quickly and it’s difficult to separate even with clips. I believe this tool would work better on someone with thinner/finer hair that dries straight. I had to return this air wrap. I ordered the blow dryer in hopes that I can use it better. I really want that healthy blowout with beachy waves!

I'm possibly the worst person in the world about styling hair but I'm getting hang of the Dyson Airwrap. If I can manage to make my hair look styled and have body, I'm pretty sure anyone can.

The second product is good. The first one I had to return after using it twice because even though the filter was spotless, it was malfunctioning. Something such as this shouldn’t prohibit me from styling my hair. I can’t rely on this as my own styling tool. Something that expensive should be more reliable.

Had to return for a different model

The second time I used this, it cut out and totally stopped twice and then started up again. I was able to return and get a different model, the all red one with the same name. The salesperson said, I wasn't the only one who had this happen and they were great about returning it and exchanging for a different model. The new one seems to work fine. It is too early for me to rate the other model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not for frizzy long hair

I was so excited to make this purchase, but was quickly disappointed. I have long, curly, frizzy hair. I typically dry it with a round brush first to get the frizz out then style as desired. I was hoping the Dyson could do it all, but the round brush is too short and small. Using the Dyson took WAY too long and left the ends horrible. I wish there was a large oval attachment instead. I think the airwrap is super cool. It was so easy to use, but after an hour my hair frizzed back up like a lion. Though I really wanted to like it, it just didn’t work for my hair type. I would only recommend this product to a person without frizzy curls.

Now SO worth it! Ready carefully!

I had heard the threat of this not holding a style, yet still felt compelled to try it for myself. Allow me to describe my hair: Blonde, Thin, non-style holding in general, with hair extensions added. What’s great: Drying my hair with the lightweight wand! (I also have the original Dyson dryer) I have used all of the accessories & am really loving the wide curl attachment. BUT! It’s a learning curve that I’ve now perfected!!! 1. You definitely NEED a curl/styling spray on each section. 2. If it’s day 2 & you already used spray the day before, you can even spritz with a little water 3. Once you curl a section, hold the curl in your hand for a couple seconds 4. When you are done curling, spray a little light hair spray DON”T brush or comb it, and DON”T touch it for 5- 10 minutes…finish your makeup or something. If you’ve done it right, your hair will look like ringlets on a young Shirley Temple (if you’re old enough to know who that is!). The longer you wait to brush or comb out, the better. What you end up with is a beautiful soft, nice curl that lasts!! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair now that I have perfected this process. As an added bonus, it’s great to travel with…no more trying to pack a hot curling iron in your luggage at the last moment, Also, if you missed a spot, just turn it back on & fix that one spot without waiting for it to warm up.
