I gave this device 3 stars because I think it would work for someone with coarser/thicker hair. I have fine hair and the curls/volume fell out within 30 minutes. I’m returning the device because it’s honestly not worth it for me, a traditional curling iron works far better. I do however own the original Dyson hair dryer and I love it, I would recommend the dryer for any hair type.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Airwrap™ can deliver a variety of styles from voluminous curls, waves to a smooth finish. However, the end result varies and depends on a combination of factors – hair type, hair length, settings you use the product at or how wet the hair is before styling. If your experiencing curls dropping out, a few tips to help improve would be ensuring the hair is damp before styling, that the barrels are held in place until the hair is dry, and to use the cold shot to set the curls.
If you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. You can also experiment with a styling/setting spray once complete to help hold the curls. Soft bouncy curls

I love my Dyson Airwrap! Although pricey it is well worth it. I love all the different attachments and it comes with a really nice case. My hair has never looked better. The wand attachments create soft bouncy curls that last for days and I love how it attracts your hair to the wand. Great product!!

Doesn't deliver

I bought this dryer/styler a little over a week ago. I have medium hair, not too thick but not thin. About half way through curling my hair, the dryer shut off. Having read other reviews, I thought to exchange it for a new one and see if this dryer wasn't defective. But the new one did the exact same thing. It's frustrating because it isn't exactly affordable. This was a splurge for me and so it was super disappointing that it didn't deliver results. I returned the other dryer and don't plan on purchasing a new one unless the Dyson company can provide one that can function long enough to finish the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Life changer!!

I barely ever take time to write any review, I don't even remember the last time I reviewed anything so that should tell you something ;) Dyson airwrap styler has literally changed my life! My hair is super fair, thin and fragile, it doesn't help that I continuously die it blonde.. styling it has always been though, I mean I honestly used to blow dry it and then use hair straightener to either make some curls or make it straight. Either way the results have never lasted long and I just got used to the fact that my hair always look flat no matter what I do. I only got the airwrap few days ago but OMG. Every time I use it my hair looks like I just left the hairdresser! It's so shiny and soooo soft! No more freezy hair, no more flat hair, It's just so perfect. It's only january but I can already say that's gonna be my best buy in 2020 :)) I Absolutely love it, it's worth every dime.

I was skeptical but this is ABSOLUTELY MY BEST PURCHASE in 2020! Dries and styles my hair beautifully in less than 20 minutes. I get so many compliments on my hair every time I use it. A short learning curve and I will be using this product for a long time, I hope. No more hot rollers, curling irons, or hair dryers for me! This is IT! Thank you, Dyson!
