Curly Hair Approved!

As a curly haired girl I am skeptical of any dryer even with a diffuser! I have massive amounts of frizz if too much heat is used... but Dyson is different! I am able to use the dryer attachment to dry my roots, the soft brush to diffuse hair products, and the curler to define my curls to the max! On days I have time I use the dryer and soft brush only and finger curl the rest of the wet hair for a more natural luck. As a curly haired girl who used to schedule around my hair that takes 8-12 hours to air dry this has been a game changer!

LOVE MY AIRWRAP, OBSESSED!

Waited years to purchase a Dyson Airwrap, years I tell you! How could I justify such an expensive device when I barely enjoy styling my waist-long hair as it is?! I've watched videos here and there, including Dyson styling guides and finally with the Complete Long version arrival, now was my time! My husband gave in and purchased one for my birthday! I am BEYOND impressed with how this has COMPLETELY changed my hair game!!! I'm lucky I have thick Indian hair but it's hard to maintain the way I've always wanted to. I hate how heavy hair dryers are, I really hate how loud a competitor hairdryer brush was, I hate how my hair smoked every time I used a straightener or curler. The Coanda smoothing dryer attachment alone is everything, let alone the longer multidirectional curling barrels! The cool shot feature is genius. No more aching arms and shoulders, no more sweating just to get my hair dry, no more 1.5hrs trying to get a curly blowout. The Dyson Airwrap multi-styler Complete Long is my new favorite 1st world possession, hands down. Highly recommend the splurge... I've only had it for 2 weeks but here's to hoping this beautiful piece of engineering lasts!

Worth every penny

I am a hair idiot, but this thing is so easy! I have wavy, frizzy hair, and with very little time and effort the dyson airwrap makes it look so smooth, shiny, and lovely. I thought the price was insane when I first saw these, but I am so pleased!

I have thick wavy hair that frizzes. It’s typically taken me 45 minutes to an hour to do my hair, which leads to me giving up. The Dyson makes it 15 min to a smooth blowout look. I’ve had multiple people ask me if I got it cut, because it looks like it’s just been done. It’s totally changed my hair routine for the better. I feel so much more confident about how I look, and that’s priceless. It’s money well spent.

The real Pros & Cons

Overall I give this 3 stars because the idea is there but the execution is not quite there. Pros: several attachments, ability to create several styles, color and design, it curls great but they fall out quickly. The blowout look is great though. Cons: for me the biggest thing is that there’s no boat bristle large round brush. Totally misses the mark. The blow dryer isn’t super powerful by, And my hair is naturally very knitted and I have a hard time with the brushes. Would I recommend- truly I’m on the fence

You did remark on curls dropping quickly. We do suggest in that instance you experiment with how damp or dry your hair is to begin with, making sure the curls are completely dry before releasing, and locking them in with the cool shot. Mixed feelings about this.

I was so so excited to get this and finally try it. I have used literally every kind of “hold product” I can find and the curls just will not stay I’ve tried so many times and they just fall out. Now it’s just a way overpriced hair dryer…

Hello Lizzie, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with your Airwrap. If you find that your curls drop or don't stay; if you begin your hair wet, and use the pre-styling dryer prior to curling, you may wish to not dry your hair as much, and then when using the barrels to curl, ensure the hair is completely dry before releasing. If you start with dry hair and use a spray bottle to dampen hair, you may not be getting the hair wet enough prior to using the barrels. This technology & ideology symphony of hair tools .
I would recommend this product tool, it is exceptional. Great investment. Truly like no other, no comparison! Do not be swayed by other companies & mockery of the cheaper “similar” tools. that are using the name Airstyle that looks similar to dyson…..they actually are using the dyson air warp to market the cheaper version…..! How do I know? I actually feel fine r the scam & when I saw the product I sent it right back! Trust this would be money spent well especially for those who put time into making their hair look similar to a salon blow out.
I gave 4 stars due to I would prefer the warranty to be up to 5 years .
