Never 'plug and play'

I have purchased a number of the Startech docking stations and they always have issues when connecting. Could be the firmware needs to be updated. Could be the drivers need to be updated. Could be a bad device. I'm not going to be buying any more of the Startech devices.

Hit and miss

I have one of these that is super flaky, the network won't stay consistently connected and I have constant video sync issues. We have another across the room that was purchased a year later and works much better.

Had it for 6 months and no longer powers up

Purchased in October 2022. Used once for a month in a temporary setup we deployed. Tried using it last week in my own office. Powered up and worked for about 30 minutes and then wouldn't power up again. Power supply is fine. It's the dock itself that failed.
