This is the best hand mixer I have ever owned. It is lightweight, powerful, and very quiet. And very affordable. You can actually feel the high quality when you use it. I make my own butter and bake several batches of chocolate chip cookies each holiday, and this mixer never boggs down or misses a beat. It is almost like having a hand held stand mixer. I highly recommended it.

Okay, but a little disappointing.

Okay, but not nearly the speed of my old Oster. It might take a very long time to whip cream. I bought the five speed, but expected that the top speed would still match the top speed of the other models, just less options in-between. However, the new stand mixer I also bought has a disappointingly slow top speed also, less than the 40 yr old one I still have. If I still had the box I would have returned/exchanged this hand-held mixer, but I do like the softer beaters.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
