I bought this sandbox for my 3 young kids over the summer. We have had it for about 3 months now and it has been a huge hit. The benches are super convenient for keep their bottoms up and out of the sand but are also low enough that my 1 year old can still reach all the sand toys. The only "downfall" I could see is that the rain can fall between the slots in the wood, but I actually like that because the sand gets a little wet and then forms better. The slots also allow the excess water to evaporate out. I would buy this again and again.

My granddaughter loves this sand box. The seats close to protect the sand from cats etc. The seats are the perfect size and height. I'm very happy with this product!

Easy to build, the “chemical smell” others are getting is the smell of the wood, it’s cedar, not chemicals.
Used 400lbs of sand, benches are study enough to seat 145lb teen and 80lb child on opposite benches. Not recommended though.
Only con is I found it’s made in China. Would rather buy domestic made.

Kit Needed Modifications

For a pre-cut and pre-drilled kit, I was disappointed to have to drill all new pilot holes on two of the pieces (both A pieces) and also had to saw off parts of all 6 wooden stops on the same pieces because the top wouldn’t close otherwise.
