Works fine and my daughter loves it

The Filip works well and phone calls are clear, both speaking and listening. I am less happy with the texting feature since you can only send texts through the Filip app - this was not made clear prior to purchasing. The wrist band is also a bit flimsy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had read some bad reviews but since it was exactly what I was looking for I convinced myself that it couldn't be that bad...it is. The mic is terrible, the speaker is terrible, the connection is terrible, the gps is terrible. For such a great concept I'm shocked at how bad the execution was. I want so much to love this product but it is a complete fail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I suggest a smaller wrist band so it doesn't look as bulky. It would be nice to have 2 way texting and a neutral color to make less noticeable for safety concerns. A neutral color would also make it appear less distracting in a classroom setting. Needs a standby time of at least 8 hrs.

Perfect for our 6 year old son

We bought this based on a friends suggestion for our 6 year old son to use. He loves to be independent, and explore the neighborhood, etc. This is perfect! He can read so he knows who is calling, and can understand the texts that we send to him. We have had no issues with it, and have had it for 6 months. We do not refresh his location often which saves the battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this in mid November. The watch will not hold a charge. I charged it over night, turned it on at 8a, and by 2p it is TOTALLY dead! USELESS! The map is totally generic; all I know is that my kid is somewhere in our subdivision.
I have tried for over 2 weeks to get it to hold a charge.
It seems I am stuck with a useless watch that will not hold a charge and has an useless GPS locator.
Do not waste ur money on this useless, expensive piece of junk.

3rd one. keeps breaking

Now that I bought it, I have to keep it working for my son. So, everytime it stops working (no longer charges) after about 3 months, I have to replace it. Too bad, its a great concept and my son loves it.

Not worth it

I bought this for my nine year old as it said it goes to 11 years. The band is RIDICULOUS. I even bought the extenders and it still wont stay on her arm. This product should have a stretchy band of some sort instead of a cheap 'clasp'.
