I purchased these headphones hoping they would be able to mute some of the background noise with the “active noise cancellation” feature turned on. I was disappointed to discover that the reduction in outside/background noise was not significant or noticeable and did not diminish or silence any background sounds with the “active noise cancellation “ feature turned on. I am returning to the store for a refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this today to replace My old headphones that got wrecked. And I love them honestly such a great upgrade! They don't hurt my ears after long periods of time. Great bass and noise canceling
