[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently set up this air purifier in a spot between my open concept living room/dining room area since it’s a place we spend a lot of our time. The instruction manual was clear and easy to follow so the set-up process was quick and easy. I just had to remove the front grille and the pre-filter and HEPA filter which were inside. I removed both of them from their plastic packaging and put them back in their designated spots. Since I have the air purifier on a light-colored carpet, I followed the recommendation in the instruction manual to put a small mat/rug underneath it to prevent staining. After plugging it in, I pressed the power button once and it automatically turns on the “microscopic particles” setting. I pressed the power button again to change it to the “general clean” setting since that is recommended for dust and general, everyday air cleaning. I expect to use it on this setting most often. However, in the warmer spring and summer weather, I will probably use the “pollen” setting. The control panel and insight display light up so it’s easy to see what setting it’s on. It’s nice that there is an auto-off timer that can be set for 2, 4 or 8 hours at a time. I also like that the control panel will tell me when it’s time to replace the 2 filters based on how many hours it’s been used. The instruction manual says the “microscopic particles” setting is the quietest, but the “general clean” setting is also very quiet, almost like a quiet fan or air conditioner sound. I would definitely recommend this high quality air purifier to anyone looking to make the air in their home cleaner and healthier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this purifier, it works really well and easy to setup. It is pretty big but it works so can't complain. Helps with my allergies. Has been great for the spring season. The filters are readily available and happy with the results. Pretty quiet as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We suffer from terrible allergies and this time of year seems to be the worst! We've been running this air purifier continuously in our living room. After just a couple of weeks the filter was already visibly dirty. My eyes aren't watering anymore and our tissue usage is cut by half.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Honeywell brand is notorious for making an excellent product and this is no exception. I have multiple pets in my home and cat allergies. The air is cleaner now! The purifier is so quiet, you hardly ok now it's on. The filter is long lasting as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having an ample opportunity to thoroughly use the Honeywell Insight Series HEPA Air Purifier HPA5100B, I am completely impressed by the results and design of this handy little machine! Once delivered, there was minimal setup required before operation and simple instructions to do so. It is extremely easy to use with a touch screen LED control panel, at-a-glance clear display that illuminates, and 4 cleaning levels (microscopic particles, general clean, pollen, and turbo). Maintenance is fairly basic with filter check/reset lights for carbon odor reducing pre-filter, certified HEPA allergen remover filter, and optional enhanced odor and VOC filters (sold separately). I installed the optional filter for smoke, but there are additional filters available in-store and online that are specifically designed for kitchen, home renovation, or pet odors. I would’ve preferred the advanced model with an automatic cleaning mode and air quality indicator, but I trust that the different setting options effectively clean the air of odor and adequately reduce volatile organic compounds in the room even without this sensor. It can be run for 24 hours a day, although there is an auto-off timer option as well. Its sleek compact design saves space, and this appliance is quieter than I had originally anticipated. I am really appreciating a way to have cleaner air in my home with multiple air changes per hour, especially since we spend a lot of time indoors during the colder months. This air purifier can handle a medium-large room (190 sq. ft.), so I would like to invest in purchasing more for other rooms.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just didn't realize that my house smelled!I ran the Honeywell Air Purifier for one day while I was out and I came house and I couldn't believe my nose!I didn't smell all of the smells that I had become use too, there was just a house that smelled like new air.My sinuses were better and my head was clearer,I just fell lighter and breath better. The purifier is small enough that it does not take up any room and it is quite,so you don't even realize that it's on.I wish that I tried one sooner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was provided a Honeywell Insight air purifier HPA5100B to use and share my thoughts. I have the filters and the smoke air purifier filter to help with extra odors.
I was surprised by the small size of the unit. I worried with small size it wouldn't really be effective. I liked the settings, especially display at a glance (or not). You can easily turn that "head's up display" easily and you can make it bright, medium and turn it off. The display shows general clean (duster) pollen (leaf) and a super charged turbo mode. You can choose with on or use auto timer. You have selections ranging from 2, 4, and 8 hours. My dog isn't a fan of this automatically doing a shut off. Not noisy, but rather the hepa filter on and then no one around and it shuts off. The pad does have a filter check and reset right on top, making it easier to verify status or reset when you change filters. Changing is super easy, pull gently on front, and you can easily access the pre-filter for VOC's odors, and larger air particles. Next is the special odor and VOC optional filter, and the one in back is the certified HEPA filter.
The low mode is super quiet and not intrusive at all. Even the dog wasn't freaked out by the new noises in the house. He usually doesn't do well with the sounds of new things. He also isn't a fan of beeps turning items in or off. Thankfully, this one doesn't beep, it just turns off and on easily with a touch and the dimmer for head's up display also doesn't make a sound. Very pleasing to this pet owner. The purifier does a great job reducing the dust ans dander. I felt this was the most noticable change for me. When doing baking of baon, the house smells delcious and the bacon smell stays around for a couple of days. With this, I found the smell disappeared more quickly cycling the air through and eliminating the smells. That was nice, not smelling like bacon for days when leaving the house! I find this has been a very. Ice edition to clearing the air. With spring just around the corner, I hope this does a llt to help with pollen and reduce some of those pesky allergies!
This is a unit that says it works best with smaller square foot rooms. Working in a bedroom with the quiet mode or the general cleaning, it is quiet and shouldn't disrupt sleep, unless you are an uber light sleeper.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The day that I got this miracle machine aka Honeywell Air Purifier, I run it on turbo mode for about 2 hours. I then switched it to dust mode . This is where it has remained ever since. I run it 24 hours a day. It was very simple to set up right out of the box. It is a tad loud but it has become background noise now that we have gotten used to it. Background on my household- we have pets, a cat and a dog. I love them dearly but boy do they shed no matter what. I also have a wood fireplace that we use during the winter months. My house is over 100 years old. When I say I can dust that morning and then that same night I could write my name in it, I am not even kidding. The dust situation was terrible. So when I tell you that this little miracle machine has cut my dust down to dusting once a week instead of every dang day, I kid you not. Not only did it cut my dust down but the odors too. If you have ever been in an old building or house, then you know the smell I am referring to. Then you add pets, smoke, and cooking odors to it too. I call this my miracle machine because I never dreamed there was a solution to help me with all the issues I was having with dust and odors. I was skeptical about it, I am not going to lie., but it sure has made my life a lot easier. I would definitely recommend it. Buy it you will not be sorry.
