Stand out product, poor installation experience

This hood vent is an absolutely unique and awesome standout in its price range. Compared to other options in the sub-$1000 market, almost all others are builder grade or poor quality over-tech-ified and ugly (does my hood vent really need a voice assistant?).
This hood vent has the looks of a MUCH pricer commercial vent, excellent suction power, and re-usable high flow filters. I looked through 20 pages of amazon hood vents and I can almost guarantee there is nothing like this vent.
The only drawback is the installation experience. I HIGHLY recommend you get a second person to assist (the manual mentioned this). Additionally, the manual and parts do not seem to line up at all. Various spacers and anchors are provided with little to no instruction on how to use them. All of this can easily be navigated by your installer or a decently experienced DIYer, but by far the absolutely most frustrating part was the keystone mounting system.
The manual advises you to mount it to the back wall first, then attach to the top cabinet. They even include a handy template! All this is fine and dandy, until you try and actually install it. THE TEMPLATE, WHEN USED AS INSTRUCTED, PLACES THE MOUNTING SCREWS IN A LOCATION THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCESS. Because they are keystones, the vent must be raised ABOVE and then LOWERED DOWN onto them, but the template is sized so that the vent will be flush with the top cabinet when in the LOWER position of the keystone mounts.
Ultimately, I had to install the top mounts FIRST then use a right angle drill adapter to access the back mounts. Oh, on that topic: The motor housing is MASSIVE (as it should be) and occupies the entire of the inner cavity. In order to access the top mounting holes, you should really go and purchase a 12" driver extension, as no normal drill will be able to fit far enough into the cavity to access the mounts. Same with the back mounts, except that the tolerance is so tight that you will want a right angle drill (a fairly uncommon device for the average DIYer).
Once installed, it looks AMAZING and performs wonderfully. I highly, highly recommend this product, however definitely plan to have two people, some driver extensions, and an afternoon to get it mounted properly.
WE BOUGHT THIS RANGE HOOD BUT THEN MY HEALTH GOT BAD. SO WE DELAYED PUTTING IT IN UNTIL NOW. I THINK MY HUSBAND WAS DREADING IT. BUT HE KNEW HOW MUCH IT WOULD MEAN TO ME TO GET RID IF THE UGLY BROWN 1970'S HOOD THAT WAS IN THE HOUSE WHEN WE BOUGHT IT 9 YEARS AGO. WELL MY HUSBAND WAS PLEASED. IT DIDNT TAKE LONG TO INSTALL AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU KEVIN AND WANDA BELTRAMEA
