Excellent power and longevity for a big yard. Purchased as a backup and spare when I need extra run time for thick grass and large property. Runs cool, charges quickly, plug-n-play.
What's not to love? Beware of cheap Chinese or other knockoffs, as they are made with inferior cells that do not last as long as Greenworks genuine batteries. Paying a little more gets you the run time you deserve.
This battery powers my new Greenworks 80 V. Pro 21" mower with authority and ease.

These batteries fail often

I have had my mower for a few years and have had three batteries fail in that time. It does not seem to be an issue with the batteries

The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive most of the battery life. Please note this product has a 4-year warranty; batteries carry a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Has been my go-to for 6+ years along with the 4.0 & the 2.0 for quick jobs because of the lighter weight. These are durable workhorses for sure! Love all of the 80v greenworks tools! Lawnmower, blower, inverter, polesaw, stringtrimmer & edger.
