[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchase over 8 different Greenworks tools in the last few years and I love them. They have always been perfect and could not be more pleased
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the 24V 10" Cordless Battery Operated Chainsaw. I was pleasantly surprised. I already had a battery. I filled the saw with lubricant oil, charged the battery, plugged in the battery, and the saw operated very nicely. I use this saw for small jobs but it really works well. I would buy it again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was perfect for me since I already own a battery powered mower by Greenworks. It works well for the small tree branches and shrubs in my yard. I would recommend this product to anyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After careful consideration, I chose Greenworks products to “retool” my yard equipment to care for my 5 acre property. Accustomed to gas powered tools, I was concerned battery powered equipment would be insufficient. Living in the mountains, property insurance is constantly trying to cancel policies, I had to cut back 4 acres of oak scrub and selected the pole saw with hedge trimmer attachment. I was surprised at how well the tool performed, efficiently trimming an acre per session. With the adjustable trimmer attachment, I was able to quickly trim back 4 acres of brush on hills, cliffs and dense areas. I am now replacing all my yard tools with Greenworks as the battery powered tools are far easier, effective and reliable than gas powered tools.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit for pruning of small tree branches. I was quite disappointed at how the chain quickly dulled ( or failed to cut). However the more significant problem was tensioning. After about 20 seconds of use, the chain was loose. When trying to use the adjustment knob, it would lock up after a few clicks. Then I would have to unscrew it, reset the chain/bar assembly, and tension it. After another minute, I had the same problem and had to redo the whole process. My cheap 4" hand chainsaw was outperforming this one. I was sadly disappointed.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Quiet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Grampa Tim. We are sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback. It sounds like you ran into issues with both chain sharpness and tensioning. For your Greenworks 24V 10" Cordless Chainsaw, the adjustment knob can lock up if the side cover locking knob is not loosened enough or if debris is preventing the tensioner from moving freely. To fix this, make sure the outer locking knob is loose before adjusting, and clean the bar groove, tensioner screw, and sprocket area. Applying a little oil can help prevent future sticking. We also recommend checking the chain often and keeping it lubricated for best performance. For guidance, please see our Assembly and Operator Guide video. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this combo product and it worked great. Trimmed 6” branches with ease. The chain did come off but was able to put it back on with ease. Just remember, the chain go in one direction. It is a little heave but the steaks help a lot. The hedge trimmer worked great as well.
