Drill with Battery Combo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill is smaller and much lighter than the Ryobi I have. So far it did not lock the drill bit well. Drill bit slips from time to time. Not sure why but it's easy and lighter to use for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mr Old School.
We are sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing. If your bit isn't secure in the drill, examine the chuck. Normal wear and tear can compromise the chuck's ability to hold the drill bit.
To install the bit:
1. Push forward / reverse switch in "neutral" position to lock the trigger.
2. Turn the chuck counter-clockwise to open.
3. Tilt the machine upwards to keep the bit from falling out
4. Put the bit into the opening of the chuck.
5. Make sure that the bit is centered, then turn the chuck clock-wise to tighten.

If you are using the drill on wood we recommend, for maximum performance, use high speed steel bits for wood drilling. When using on wood Operate the machine at a very low speed to prevent the bit from slipping off the starting point. Increase the speed as the drill bit bites into the material.

Lightweight, Powerful, Great Batteries

I got these as backup drills for my regular power tools, mainly because I like the ability to use the batteries from my drills in my lawn equipment. I was impressed with how lightweight these are as 24V drills compared with my 18V drills. Lighter weight means less fatigue when I'm on a job. From DIY to building projects, I have been amazed at the battery life these drills have. My one critique (which isn't even enough to drop a star) is that there is not on-tool holder for extra bits, which I have grown so accustomed to. I hope that Greenworks adds this feature in future models, as it is really helpful when going from drilling to driving. Definitely recommend this for the avid DIYer, home owner, builder, or hobbyist.

I WAS IN THE MARKET FOR 2- 24V BATTERIES TO COMPLEMENT MY BLOWER. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE 2 BATTERIES AND A DRIVER AND IMPACT DRIVER AT A GREAT PRICE. I HAVE HAD THEM FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND HAVE FOUND SO MANY USES FOR THEM. I AM LOOKING AT UPGRADING MY BLOWER AND WEED TRIMMER VERY SOON. ONCE YOU GO GREEN, YOU WON'T GO ANY OTHER WAY!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a little late submitting the review because of being unable to use until I got a battery for it. That's a huge negative and should come with one. I never understood why so many brands sell tools that aren't ready to use right out of the box. Well now that I have one I love it. I'm not a tool person but have been wanting this saw for a long time to use on crafts. It is do easy and safe to use. Cuts a straight line easily for a beginner like me. love love love it!
