[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Someone in the family got one last year and I borrowed it to mow my lawn. When the mowing season started this year, someone else in the family bought one. So we got one too. Easy to maneuver, very nice cut, great features for the money.

Impressive Performance on Steep and Uneven Land

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this lawn mower for my husband, and he really likes it. In fact, I can see a big improvement in the field, which was rarely mowed properly in the past due to the steep and uneven terrain. It's very quiet and powerful, and the battery lasts a long time.

Best Lawn Mower Ever Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s quiet, it’s got headlights! The batteries charge up fast and we are able to mow our .3 acre no problem with the both batteries. Love the turbo option but so far haven’t needed to use it. It’s simple enough for my 13 year old to mow the grass and make adjustments as needed.

Works better than gas mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as part of a combo with a trimmer and blower. It cuts as well or better than the gas mower I previously had. And it is much quieter which makes the whole experience much more pleasant. I’m able to mow my lawn (55x110 lot) on one charge 2amp. The first mow was after three weeks without a mow and it was long (and was wet) and it was able to cut through with no issues.

Powerful, but not a great cut pattern

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of this mower is that it's very powerful and the battery life is great. After mowing my initial time, I noticed that it left circular mow marks in my lawn - probably where I would stop. My thought is that maybe the mower vibrates and settles a bit so that it cuts those circles with shorter grass? The only other complaint I'd already read about is the going forward glitch where you must wait a few seconds before pulling it backwards.

Hello NelsonBlackburn.
Thank you for sharing your impression on this mower. We appreciate your feedback and are happy to know it's met your expectations. Circular mowing marks in your lawn, also known as wheel marks or scuffing, are often caused by the mower's wheels digging into uneven areas of the lawn. This can lead to the cutting blade not cutting at the correct height in those areas, resulting in a shorter, patchy appearance.
How to prevent circular mow marks.
1. Ensure your mower blade is sharp.
2. Alternate mowing directions. change the mowing direction each time to prevent the grass from growing in one direction and reduce wheel marks.
3. Ensure you overlap your passes slightly, but not excessively.
4. Avoid mowing wet grass, allow the grass to dry before mowing.
5. Ensure you are mowing at the correct height for your grass type and avoid scalping.
6. Check for unbalanced deck, if the mower deck is unbalanced, it could contribute to wheel marks.
The self-propelled feature is not usable in reverse. They are designed to lock when pulled back to prevent damage to the drive belt. If you are using the self-propelled feature, the mower will attempt to move forward and will be difficult to move backwards. You would have to release the self-propelled lever to pull the mower backwards while still holding onto the start lever.

So far Greenworks works like a dream

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower about two weeks ago and have only had two chances to use it. So far, it has performed as well as I expected. I have a large yard that takes at least an hour to cut. My gas mower used close to two tanks of gas to cut the entire lawn. This mower, with an 80V 4.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah battery was able to cut approximately two thirds of the yard. A full charge of the 4.0 Ah battery was/is enough to cover the remainder of the yard. So, yes the mower performed well and cut the grass cleanly. I used the mulching feature and have not tested the side discharge or bagging options. But, as stated the included batteries did not get the job done in one try. However, I did not expect them to. And the time it took for me to cool off and drink some water was enough to charge the 2.0 Ah battery ¾'s of the way so I could get back to cutting and start charging the 4.0 Ah battery. When the 2.0 battery ran out of charge the second time, there was enough charge (not a full charge) to complete the cutting. The overall cutting time was with in 5 or 10 minutes of what it typically took me with my gas mower. So, even though I had to fuss with the batteries a bit, the overall time to complete the lawn cutting was not significantly different than before with the gas mower. I have since ordered another Greenworks tool that comes with 4.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah battery just like the mower. I believe the two 4.0Ah batteries will get me through the entire lawn. But, if they don't the additional 2.0 Ah batteries will be enough.
