I've had a chance to use this a few times in varying conditions, and it works surprisingly well. I have been using a Cub Cadet SC 500 e+ (160cc) mower for the past few years, and had expected that the new electric mower wouldn't have the power to get through the tall, heavy grass. Surprisingly, the mower had no problem and actually did a much better job collecting the cuttings into the rear bag. The two 4Ah batteries provide much more time than I need to mow both the front and backyards. The only issue I had was one of the ring clips was not installed on the bag catcher rod, easily fixed.
Mower is remarkable. I am cutting around fruit trees on slope and roads around 13 acres. This tool is able to cut easily 12 inch tall grass as I push around. I may have preferred the motor driven drive but getting more exercise this way. In future a step up in construction to more stable construction as it could be sturdier as I mow in fields. It is a work horse but a little flimsy as I push around. If more stout it would be easier to push also.
I haven't gotten to use it much since I bought it after the grass started to slow down for winter but so far it works great. Very powerful and quiet plus easy to use.
Excellent lawnmower, light enough that I often don't bother with the self propelled mode. Easy to adjust and operate with excellent battery life. I do my entire half acre lot and still have battery available. Controls are are very ergonomically located and the handle is adjustable to set a comfortable position. Don't miss fussing with gas & oil and hard starting etc.
Very pleased with the speed control as the slowest setting was just right for a senior over 80. My first mow of tall grass was set at mid level. The cut looked great and the mower is well balanced and easy to make turns. Also very quiet so I will now be able to mow my lawn on Sunday's because we have noise restrictions on that day. Very great machine . Forrest from California.
Bought this about a month ago and have used it once for a final mow before winter. It has been a long time since I have mowed but this mower made it a nice experience. I used the mulch function and didn't have my wheels up high enough, when the grass built up, the machine stopped. Luckily I was able to figure out how to fix it and the mower began again. Assembly involves only the handle was pretty easy. The mower is relatively quiet, so it won't add to noise pollution. I did contact customer service to ask about mulching and if I have to use the chute. Was pleased to see I got a response within a day and it was helpful. The batteries do a good job. One thing, when they are on the charger, it is surprisingly loud. Set it up, where it won't bother you, I put it in my basement and didn't hear it at all.
This mower is great, it makes mowing easy. It does everything a mower should do, and does those things well. -The bag attachment collects a ton of grass -super easy to adjust cut height. -RWD self propel feature is awesome. This mower will push itself up a 40 degree hill. -a single battery has allowed me to cut my .25 acre hill of a yard easily.
When the mower arrived in the box the rear mulching door, where the bad attaches was improperly assembled. I sent a quick email to the service folks and we got it ready to use.
