This is my 2nd mower as there was an issue w/ the motor before the warranty expired and Greenworks stood behind their product and replaced it. I’ve removed and sharped the mulch blade a couple of times and it works great; no bag, no oil or gas, now exhaust.
Love this mower. Only gave it a 4-star as I could not register it online because you want a jpeg .of my receipt. I bought online from your company and gave serial number and model number, but would not register because I lacked the receipt!! Good grief I even have the order number!!
Lost the tether to spark plugs, gas, replacing starter cords... after getting this moved mu gas mower to the curb and offered free to anyone that wanted it. Very surprised at the battery life on one charge... does more than the acre mentioned.
The only improvement I would ask for is more suction within the blade area so it could lift up some of the smaller twigs or slightly matted leaves at the higher cut heights.
After years of hurting my shoulder while trying to start my gas mower and string trimmer each spring and then having to take them in for a costly tune-up, i had enough. I purchased a pro series 80v mower and trimmer and could not be happier with my purchase. Push the bottom off we go, i have well over 1/3 acre to cut and can make it on one charge of my 5ah battery, couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
I bought this in mid March and I will say I am 100% satisfied. I have mowed 10 times since I bought it and no problems. Makes a nice cut (example below) Here is a list of things that may help you 1.) When using self-propelled disengage the last little push forward( a few inches) and the mower will pull back with no wheel lock. 2.) If you use the bag do not let it get to full. It will shorten run time and change the angle of your blade. 3.) Balance sharpen the blade. 4.) Do not store your battery fully charged 5.) Overlap about 10% from your last cut pass or you will get stray blades of grass uncut.
I mow 8000 sq ft total and I use the same battery (4ah) for the weed trimmer too. (bad idea as the 4ah battery is heavy). I always finish everything with 30% battery. I do not bag and mulch the grass in. . .. someone else complained the self-propelled is to slow... I have no problem with the speed and full speed is too quick. I run it at half speed and it is a nice comfortable walk.
This is my first battery operated lawn mower. I've watched and waited for years to see them get stronger and batteries last longer. I am pleased I waited. This little self propelled mower can mow my .25 acre property with battery to spare. Then I put battery in my new 80V backpack blower and clear off the sidewalk and driveway. This model is much lighter than my previous gas self-propelled model. I can push it up my graded lawn with ease without using the self-propelled feature, though I appreciate the self-propelled assist when called upon for the long incline runs across the back yard. The self-adjusting power feature means the mower takes a moment to get up to a good walking speed (which is also adjustable) using self-propelled feature, but once there it maintains well. Cutting performance is just as good as my conventional gas mower. Well done Greenworks! Customer service even walked me though a hiccup at first use (push and hold the green start button first, then engage the blade lever to hear mower start) and gave me other tips on my other purchases, saving another call. They were courteous, professional and very helpful. A good experience for me. Now I feel confident in replacing all the gas yard equipment.
