Sorry to hear about your experience. When units begin clogging, shutting off, or leaving clumps, it is often tied to cutting conditions and airflow rather than a lack of overall capability. Tall, dense, or damp grass is the most common cause of clogging and shutdowns, as it restricts airflow under the deck and triggers the mower’s protection system. For best results, try mowing when the grass is completely dry, start at a higher deck height, and take a first pass before lowering for a finish cut, this reduces load and helps prevent buildup. Slowing your walking speed can also gives the blade time to properly lift and discharge clippings. If you are bagging, please make sure the bag is fully seated and not overfilled, as this can reduced airflow and will cause clumping and poor collection; periodically clearing the underside of the deck and ensuring the blade is sharp can also make a noticeable difference in both cutting and bagging performance.
Regarding runtime, battery performance can drop in heavy conditions like overgrown or thick lawns, so needing multiple batteries or partial recharges can occur if the mower is working under constant high load. Using a higher cut first and maintaining the lawn more frequently can help extend runtime per charge.
