Good Mower, 2 avoidable flaws

I have had this mower for a couple years now. It is good overall, but I have come to hate the "battery saving grass sensor". It cuts in too soon and doesn't kick back up fast enough, so I have to re-mow sections. The low power setting doesn't generate enough suction to lift grass up into the blade. And I have to move slower, so it takes longer to finish the job. A simple variable speed "trigger" like every cordless drill on the market would be way better. My second beef, is the tall "power pod". It inhibits mowing under obstacles like lawn furniture, fencing etc. Don't copy the "styling" of outdated gas mowers. This is another area where electric mowers can be better than gas. Take a hint from vacuums and flatten it out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as advertised. One reviewer had trouble backing up. Just follow directions of disengaging drive and rolling rear wheels one rotation and you can pull backwards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am satisfied with my purchase a month ago of a reconditioned 80 v self-propelled lawnmower. I made the transition from a gas mower to battery electric. The first thing I appreciated was the clean smell of cut grass instead of the stink of the gasoline engine. My neighbors appreciated less noise, and I no longer wear ear guards. In "turbo mode", this machine mulches perfectly - much better than the old gas mower. At some point I expect to need customer service help. If that measures up, I will be most grateful, and a loyal customer.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower based on research, tech specs and reviews. It is an outstanding mower that is quality made. Easy assembly out of the box and starts right up. Our last mower was a Snapper 82v battery which was adequate. Unfortunately the replacement battery is quite expensive and hard to find since they went bankrupt. This mower has plenty of battery options and a 4 year warranty instead of the 1 year usually offered. If you haven’t made the transition to electric yet, don’t be the last guy on the block. This mower is far superior o gas mowers and very easy to store and maintain. Don’t hesitate to get in the game with this mower.
