I purchased a Greenworks 80V Push Mower online with some hesitation. However, upon delivery of the mower I found it extremely simple to assemble - and I'm not mechanically inclined. Thus far, the mower has done a great job! It has plenty of power and the combined two batteries lasts approximately 1 hour. It is much quieter than the gas mower it replaced making mowing the yard a less challenging task.
Bought this and a trimmer on memorial day. Trimmer sent right away, mower took them a week to fill. Selling out of stock items as in stock is bad enough, but shipping me a returned unit to fill the supply gap is not acceptable. Package was beat up with a lot of holes, but after multiple journeys to various customers that would be expected. Peeled the top tape back and found box cutter marks in the fold in side flaps from the last customer. Pulled the tape apart to be sure, multiple layers from the obvious repackaging. The zipper bags the batteries come in were ripped open by the previous customer. I can only assume they swapped them for old batteries and returned it. Batteries cost far too much to take a chance, need to return and try to get an actual new unit. Disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

pros- lightweight, cuts great. cons- headlights are pretty useless, and can't be turned off. (a small negative- but it does use juice.) also- i've been unable to register my unit because there is no way to do it on line, just by phone- long wait times, and haven't been able to get through.
I already own a greenworks chainsaw, blower, hedge trimmer, and weed eater. I decided this year it was time for the Push Mower. I mainly use a push mower for use on a steep bank that I am unable to use a riding mower on. My old gasser would usually stall out on the bank in some situation but not this Greenworks mower. I love this mower more then I anticipated. I use it many times in places I can get to with my riding mower. It’s that nice!
I just purchased this mower and am so far delighted. It took me only about 5 minutes to open the box, read the instructions, get the battery charging and assemble the machine. Less than two hours later, I was able to mow my grass. No messing with gas and getting the thing to start. A push of a button and I was off and mowing. Plenty if power. Plenty of battery life to finish. Best of all, the mower is light and easily maneuverable. I have lots of obstacles and am usually wiped out from manhandling a heavy gas mower around stuff. I finished the job and hardly broke a sweat. I am extremely happy at the moment!
We love the purchase! I purchased the attachment capable 80v trimmer last year and it has been wonderful as well. What I like about this mower is pretty much everything. It is lighter than our old gas mower, stands up straight, the bag empties super easily and stands up and because it has two batteries but doesn't need more than one to finish the yard I can use the second one if the trimmer battery dies before I'm done (it is a 2Ah battery).
Overall I have nothing but good things to say about the mower.
Not self-propelled, but easy to push. Powerful motor cuts my 1/5 acre lawn with less than a full charge of a 4 ah battery. Much better than gas-powered; no fumes, much less noise.
