Does its job very well, could be lighter. Wish there was a way to standardize on batteries for the five Goodworks tools I have.

CHap mower at a high price. Mine came wiht loos bolts, it clunk, creeks,..... Its cutting ablity is low end,... Yes, very true. I find I have to go over areas twice! Grass is not tall. It doesnto cut well. My 12 year old Honda does a much better job at mulching plus NO CREEKS OR CLUNGS! As for the deck, old desgin style that does not cleanout well, low vacuum,.... it WILL rust out! Why not a compsite deck GW? Why such and old style deck? Just don't buy.
Pros: Quiet

Hello Joe09,

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback as we are always looking for areas to improve!

The deck is forged with heavy-duty steel, for strength and durability. A stamped deck means that the deck has been stamped out of a single piece of steel versus a fabricated deck that has been welded together. Stamped decks often have a better airflow and are more flexible in their capabilities. We'd love to share some a tip to care for the deck, we do not recommend using water to clean the lawn mower but use a scraper to get rid of the grass, and then you can use a damp cloth to wipe off and loose pieces. Finish by wiping with a dry cloth and spraying lightly with a silicone spray or lawn mower deck spray.

At Greenworks we stand behind each product we manufacture. This lawn mower carries a 4-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Solid Performance, but Battery Life Disappoints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this Greenworks 80V combo kit delivers impressive performance. The mower cuts clean and has plenty of power, the blower is strong enough to handle heavy leaves, and the string trimmer is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Everything feels well-built and is a great value for a cordless setup.
However, the biggest downside is the battery runtime. The kit comes with two 2.0Ah batteries, which only give you around 15 minutes of use per battery on most tools—less if you’re using turbo or tackling heavier jobs. It’s really frustrating to have great tools that can’t run long enough to finish even a small yard in one go. I found myself stopping too often to recharge.
If this kit came with 4.0Ah or even 5.0Ah batteries, it would be nearly perfect. Hopefully, Greenworks considers offering that option in the future.
If you already have other 80V batteries or plan to upgrade them, this kit is a great investment. Otherwise, be prepared to either work in short bursts or purchase higher-capacity batteries separately.

Hello Joel77.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the 80V combo kit. Batteries are the costliest item to manufacture and ship in any kit. Full kits including a tool, battery, and charger are priced affordably so that consumers can begin building that line of tools and move forward purchasing tool-only units. When you purchase batteries on their own, it is more notable the cost that they carry. One of the many benefits of the Greenworks 80V platform is the interchangeability of the batteries. If additional batteries are purchased in a combo pack (tool + battery) for another Greenworks 80V tool, you will have an extra battery that would provide you with the additional run time. Alternatively, additional batteries can be purchased to extend the run time. This unit is compatible with 80V Greenworks batteries (only). Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us directly through chatbot on Greenworks Tools website that will direct you to a Live agent or call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). We are here to help.

I'm impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this mower for about a month but based off my first impressions I'm very impressed. It cuts my whole yard on about 1/2 to 3/4 a battery. It's got plenty of power for what I do and it's about as loud as a high velocity fan. It bags well, discharges well but I haven't tried the mulching aspect of the mower yet. I find the mower is very light and easy to push.
Ultimately time will tell on the durability of the mower but I believe that if someone doesn't beat on it or try to use it as a field mower it will last quite a long time.
Let's talk about real life here. For the average person cutting an average lawn this seems to be a great little mower. However if you think you're going to use this to mow foot tall grass every day, all day then you're going to be disappointed. It's a lawn mower, use it to mow your lawn.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Effective

Blue Ridge Mtn Mower

I bought the 80 volt, 5 amp, 21” version, earlier this spring. Maybe overkill on the volts and amps, but I did not want to risk under powering myself. I mow about a quarter acre, that’s all. But not one step of it is flat. I literally am 50% self-propelling uphill and 50% coasting in neutral downhill. I only use the slow speed b/c it’s fast enough, I’m retired, and never in a hurry! So, slow speed, self-propelled half the time, 1/4 acre, I never come close to running out of electricity. Other benefits. Nearest gas station is about 30 minutes away, so an e mower is good to have. When finished mowing, I can immediately hose the machine clean. No waiting for a hot engine to cool off. Then I roll the mower through my walk-out basement door and store it in my workshop. No gas, oil, grease inside the house. Ergonomics are great. Steel deck design felt like an advantage, in my old-school mindset. One lever easily adjusts all 4 wheel heights simultaneously. And I have to adjust for various parts of my mountain yard. Anything else? Easy to use, seems well-built. Never run out of power. I would again buy the the most muscular Greenworks mower I can afford.
