No range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought a little over a month ago and they will not return my calls. The mower has no range and I can’t even finish my yard on a full charge. I love the way the mower handles and cuts but the range is not worth buying. This is a real review so please trust me on the range of this product. Everything I own for yard care and tools is from greenworks. I own over 30 greenworks products.

Greenworks refused to replace a defective product
on August 28, 2025
Posted by: BackwardsBlades
Greenworks shipped a defective product to me. Blades stuck into the cover (dock). It took so much time back and forth to communicate with them to figure out why the blades stuck. They asked me to bring it to a third-party rep. workshop. The workshop figured out the blades installed backwards and corrected it. See fig 1 (before) and fig 2 (after). They refused warranty cover and charged a good fee. Since this is an error from Greenworks sending a defective mower to customer, I tried to request Greenworks to replace with a new mower. They refused the exchange. This is not only unfair, but also unethical. I'll never buy any GW again.

We sorry to hear about the experience you had with your mower. Receiving equipment that is not working properly out of the box is frustrating, and we understand how discouraging it must have been to spend additional time and money resolving the issue.

From what you have described, it sounds like the blades may have been installed incorrectly during assembly, which is not the experience we want our customers to have. While service centers are our partners for warranty assessments and repairs, we know this situation has left you feeling let down.

We will share your feedback with our quality control and customer support teams to ensure experiences like this are prevented in the future. A solution is being actively worked on to address concerns, and the Customer Experience team is dedicated to resolving this as quickly as possible. Greenworks is committed to making sure customers are 100% satisfied with the quality and durability of each purchase. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations and appreciate the chance to improve.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can haul this in my truck bed and mow .25 acre yards with it. This mower stores vertically! taking up minimum space in the garage.

Lives up to my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this twice now on my .9 acre property and it’s been great! Much more enjoyable than my large 54” subcompact tractor I was using. The ZT does take some getting used to and I have left the turn marks in the lawn so need to work on my technique. After one 45 minute mow the battery was down to 73%, then down to about 45% the second time so I could possibly get three mows in on one charge. For reference it takes well over 2 hours to do with my 20” push mower. Curious to try the lights and towing our garden cart with it. No regrets so far.

NOT a heavy-duty machine
on April 9, 2025
Posted by: RE of South Carolina
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit in fall, it spent nearly 5 months back and forth for repair of the self-drive mechanism - that is 5 months of warranty time when I did not have a working mower. The mower struggles with deep grass. The blades are MUCH thinner than conventional blades, so they will require frequent sharpening and/or replacement. Don't confuse COMMERCIAL with heavy-duty. This is NOT a heavy-duty machine.
