Just bought the pole saw and used it once to cut down small limbs overhanging driveway, which is .6 miles long. it worked great and held a charge for a couple of hours of work (on & off). Only issue was chain get jammed and coming off, but it was easy to put it back on.
This is the third Greenworks 80V tool that I've purchase this year (also have a string trimmer and blower). I needed something to cut dead branches up to 3 inches in diameter. I used it last weekend for the first time and it's a beast. It cut branches like butter which saved lots of time over a hand saw. Be aware, it is a little heavy (why I gave it 4 stars). There is not much Greenworks can do (weight driven by motor and battery), but it is something you need to be aware of.
I purchased this tool, and immediately put it to work on a large fur tree. The 80v pole saw did an amazing job, even making short work of largest limbs that I could find. The only problem is that it's so much fun to use you might find yourself over trimming the tree, just for your own entertainment.
Recently purchased this with some trepidation as to it's ability to handle large diamiater logs, but I had success with all of my other Greenworks products. This chainsaw is a beast that can't be stopped! I used it to easily saw through 8" logs like butter, and found myself looking at larger timber just for the fun of using the saw. It's a truly impressive piece of equipment and the interchangeable battery pack is a nice perk.
I am the owner of a Christmas tree lot. We trim and put a fresh cut on every tree we sell. In the past we have used gas operated saws, which have been problematic for employees to start, when you have a line of customers the last thing you want is a chainsaw that will not start. I was considering other options, when a customer / friend asked if I ever considered a battery operated chainsaw. I had not and was honestly a little skeptical that a battery operated saw would handle the demands. I was wrong, the 80V 18 inch battery operated saw was easier to use than the gas saws, no priming, no choking, no fueling, no pull starting, it was safer to use than gas, when you let go of the trigger the chain stopped. The limits of the battery was never tested due to it lasting the entire day of on and off use, it never got low on power. We used this saw on rainy damp days, cold days and the performance did not falter. I would not make any changes to this saw, it is a quality tool that far exceeded my expectations and did not fall short in any way.
