I got tired of messing with mixing gas and oil and struggling to start the several different brands of chainsaws I have used on the ranch so I decided to give this Greenworks chainsaw a try. Light weight compared to the gas saws but has plenty of power to cut through the pine and oak trees on my property. The AH battery has additional time between recharges
Just came in today and felt like a little kid on Christmas day opening it up. Charged in 20 minutes as advertised. The charger has a built in fan to keep it cool while charging. I went out and made 4 cuts on a 16in walnut log in a couple minutes. Chewed it up like butter!
This chainsaw works great for me. Im using it for low hanging branches and the occasional tree or branch that comes down in a storm. It has surprising power for a cordless saw and cuts up everything I need it to with ease. Get an extra battery if you're going to be using it a lot. They charge fast.
I had high hopes. I expected to much. The chain jumps off constantly. This is a real time problem. The chain compartment is held down by two bolts, so every time the chain jumps off you have to unbolt 2 bolts, realign chain saw, and tighten 2 bolts. I have a Ryobi that has one allen wrench bolt and is much easier to fix the chain. I have Wax Myrtel bush that has flaky bark. When I try to cut the bark the saw skips and jumps. I have also had the same problem with tree trunks. I have seen gas saws work much better, but unfortunately I made the wrong choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mbakeranded,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you've experienced an issue with the chain falling off. New chains do tend to stretch; so be sure to check the chain tension frequently and tension as required. However, be sure to never tension a warm chain before storing as chains shrink when cooling and this can damage the chain, bar and saw. Please ensure that when you remove the side cover that the following parts are there and in order: sprocket (chain wheel), chain wheel washer and finally the c-lip. These parts are imperative when it comes to keeping the chain on. Please note that this product carries a 4-year warranty from the date of purchase and 2-years on the battery. If you notice any of these parts missing or you are still experiencing issues, please kindly contact GreenWorks at 1-855-345-3934 or by email on info@greenworkstools.com.
Powerful and does a good job cutting limbs and branches. Should look into why the chain oil leaks. Was hoping this would not be the case but seems like a systemic issue.
