Better than gas!

I ordered one of these because my brother had one and said it was good. He didn't even come close to covering it!
Gas chainsaws are a pain. You need to mix the fuel. You need to bring extra fuel with you when you go in the woods.
Corded chainsaws are under powered, and you need to stay close to a power source, or have a generator.
My Greenworks 80 volt chainsaw is just as powerful as any gas chainsaw I've used, and the fuel is easy. Charge it up for 30 minutes and you've got a full "tank". I used it for three hours before having to recharge the battery!
I'm never going back to gas chainsaws again.

This chainsaw is very easy to use and maintain. I enjoy that I do not have to deal with a gasoline engine every time I need to do some cutting or trimming. The performance is impressive, and the handling is easy. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Plenty of power for most home landscape jobs. Reminder that you will need chain oil just like the gas powered chain saw. Quiet and efficient and very easy to set up and use.

better than any gas saw

I bought this a few years ago and I love that this saw is quite, lightweight, easy to use and has relatively long battery life. I have cut through logs as thick as 2 ft without a problem. I've owned several gas powered saws over the years (which died after a few years) and this is far superior. I love that it starts instantly and is environmentally friendly. NOTE: there is one MAJOR problem with it. The bar and chain oil tank disintegrates and cracks at the neck which causes it to leak after 9 months or so. Normally this would be a deal breaker for anyone and deserves a 1 star rating, but the company was very quick to replace my saw. Unfortunately it has happened again and I'm just now waiting for a SECOND replacement. So why 4 stars? Because it's still a great saw and the company was very responsive to replacing it. Hopefully they can fix this flaw in future models. Also I would suggest getting another longer life battery for better performance and for the ability to quickly switch batteries for longer jobs.

I have been using my 16" brushless battery chain saw for three seasons. It meets my needs perfectly. I am an average build, senior age woman. I am able to handle the weight with ease. The user manual is comprehensive and easy to understand. The batteries charge fully in less than 2 hours. The customer service is prompt. Owning this tool allows me to be more independent with caring for my yard. I'm very happy with it and recommended it to a friend who also bought one.

I bought this chainsaw to replace a gasoline saw that I spent more time cranking than I did sawing! This saw works great and in my opinion the perfect handyman saw. Unless you are clearing a forest this saw is great around the house ( and the neighbors). This 16 inch blade is a good size. The power of the saw has handled every tree or limb I have needed to cut. The battery charge holds up well and quickly recharges while you “recharge” yourself as this saw is a work horse. Love it and no more hoping it might crank as it was with my gasoline saw.

Mostly I use the saw for an hour or less. Battery is sufficient, power is good, and i like how the chain stops immediately.
