Goodbye gas tools!

I've been slowly replacing the gas powered tools in my garage with Greenworks battery powered tools. First to go was the leaf blower and then the hedge trimmer. When a tropical storm dropped an oak tree across my back yard last month, it was time to give the battery powered chainsaw a try. My other Greenworks tools performed great and I thought this would be the ultimate test--cutting through a 20-inch diameter hardwood tree. I'm happy to report the 80-volt 18 inch chainsaw handled it with ease. I got through about 20 cuts ranging in size from 20 to 14 inches in diameter before swapping the battery that I have from my other tools. Wish I took some before and after photos, because this was a large tree and it cut through it with ease. Best of all is not having to deal with gas, no pull start, no fumes, no loud noise. If you are a home owner in need of a chainsaw for property maintenance, this is a great option.

This chainsaw is amazing. I own both a 16" Stihl and a 16" Homelite Chainsaw. This battery powered Greenworks is as powerful if not more powerful as both of those gas powered. The convenience of no gas and oil mixture to carry around and spill and pull starting just makes this the best buy I have ever made. I recommend this 80V chainsaw to everyone.

Could not get my gas powered saw started. A friend had a PRO 80V CORDLESS 18" BRUSHLESS CHAINSAW by greenworks. I had never used a battery op chainsaw but was surprised by the power. I will definitely buy one. It will be a great addition to my tool arsenal.

I purchased the 18" Greenworks PRO 80V Cordless Chainsaw on August 19. First job was to cut down a fairly good size Plum tree which the Greenworks PRO chainsaw made a very easy task. I am very impressed with the overall quality of this saw and expect that it will provide good service for years to come. Glad I mad this purchase and can recommend it highly!

I bought this 80v Greenworks saw for my 76th birthday and can honestly say I wish I had purchased it many birthdays earlier. Never have to mix the gas/oil, saves my arm keeping it running, and the re-charge takes only about 35 minutes.

I bought this saw to replace my Stihl 251. It seems to have just as much power without the exhaust. It works very well for me because I tend to do short cutting sessions. I'm considering buying a second battery to allow me to cut longer without charging..
