This works well if you let the saw do the work and not force the issue. If you’re used to gas and bulling through you might not like it so much. Proper use and care and I’m very pleased. So far have done limbing and bucking, haven’t felled any trees with it yet. Kep the chain tight and oil in the tank and it will serve you well.
Cuts as well as my gas powered chainsaw. An advantage over a gas saw is the constant stopping and starting. You don’t have a saw sitting and running while you are clearing limbs.
So far, I have used it for about an hour and it worked very well. Light weight easy to turn and maneuver around thick branches. Only disappointment is that the on/off safety handle in the front seems to be light weight plastic, not sure how durable it is going to be with extend use of the chainsaw. Time will tell.
This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a powerful saw, lightweight, and quiet. I am very happy with this purchase. Just what I wanted and expected from Greenworks.
I have found the pole saw tiresome to use because it is not well balanced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello anonymous,
We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with this unit due to the weight. With the 2.0AH battery installed, this unit weighs 12.8 lbs (5.8 kg) in total. As each users capabilities differ, the strap helps even out the weight. Hold unit firmly with both hands. Always keep your left hand on the pole shaft and your right hand on the rear handle, so your body is to the left of the chain line. Never use a left-handed (cross-handed) grip, or any stance that places your body or arm across the chain line. We hope these tips will help, if they do not please kindly contact us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com for further assistance.
I purchased a Greenworks pole saw and loved it so much, I bought a weed trimmer too. After hurricane Sally came through, I needed a real chain saw. Naturally came back to Greenworks and got their 18" 60v battery powered saw. This saw is every bit as good as my old gas saw and I don't have to pull it till it starts or mix gas again. This saw went through an 10" pine tree that jad come down like a hot knife through butter!!! Literally!!! It only took about 4sec to cut through the tree trunk! I love it and would highly recommend this saw to anyone that needs a great chain saw!!!
