Great Purchase, No more gas mixing

I had a couple gas chainsaws and was tired of the gas mixing and carb cleaning, so I wanted to give this a try. I have but about 1/2 cord or maybe a bit more, of wood so far and I am pleased with it. The battery could last a little longer, but I am in no hurry and it is a good time for a break once a recharge is needed. Keep an eye on the chain oil. I need to refill about every 2 charges. When brand new, be sure to adjust the chain frequently as there is some stretch. It is super easy and the tool is right there in the handle, so it does not take any time at all.
From the point of view of an occasional homeowner use, the Greenworks 80v chainsaw is certainly more than capable of cutting logs. The most striking feature is the silence in-between cuts, this is something to behold...you can't believe it until you witness it yourself. It's bizarre to be cutting logs, and put down the chainsaw for a moment and hear birds chirping. I loved my orange colored pro equipment, but I'm over the pull start, gas smell, and noise. Within a week of this purchase I bought the Greenworks 80v leaf blower and my other orange blower is on the shelf, I gave the chainsaw away. I look forward to moving all my gas powered equipment to this 80v world.
I bought this saw for my husband because of it's great reviews and because it was battery operated. We are tired of the mess of gas tools and the difficulty starting them. This saw works great! We have an extra battery and by the time both batteries are used he is ready for a break.
The 18" replacement chainsaw chain is fantastic. It cuts great. Its for a Greenworks 18" corded chainsaw that is by far the best electric chainsaw that I have ever owned. I cut down 24 trees with a diameter between 2 and 8 inches. This saw never missed a beat.
So much easier to use. This is my sixth Greenworks tool in the 80v line and I’m all in! I have the blower, the mower, the tiller, the hedge trimmer, the edger, and now this!
I have a 42cc gas saw which we were using at the same time we were using this unit. This saw was as strong and we actually were able to make more cuts because of less down time refueling (we only had to change the battery). Also the noise was considerably less. However if you are going to be cutting for hours as we were, I suggest purchasing an additional battery so that one can be charging while you are cutting with the other. To sum it up I was very impressed with this saw.
