I hit a rock low cutting some maple sapling stumps with my 60v Greenworks chainsaw while clearing my woods trail. Put things to a halt until it was resharpened. Decided to get a backup chain so could swap it out next time. Glad to say haven't hit another rock (yet) but the replacement fits perfectly and its good to have a spare. Trail is open!
I only used the 18" Greenworks chainsaw to cut this tall dead tree down and it worked beautifully. I never had to pull a cord, the battery life is about 30 minutes then I swapped it out with the other one I had charging. Adjusting the chain couldn't be easier and it also has a self oiler. I own several other chain saws but am so happy that with this saw I never have to pull a cord again. Being 69 and a women I am so happy with all of the Greenworks products, the 80v weed trimmer, the rototiller, the pole saw and in a few days I will have a 80v snow blower; power, reliability, ease of use and so convenient. I love it.
Bought this saw after reading good reviews online. I was a little worried about the battery after using gas-powered chainsaws all my life, but have been VERY pleased with it! Lots of power, easy to operate & quiet; just snap the fast-charging battery in and go. Way better than having to pull-start a gas chainsaw. Would recommend this product to anyone!
I seldom used our gas-powered chainsaw, maybe because it was scary but also because it was difficult to start and often needed carburetor repair from non-use (My bad!). So the Chainworks 80-volt is just what I needed: easy to start, no carburetor, and powerful enough to cut up large trees and cracked branches. After a heavy and wet snowstorm, I can go out and cut the broken limbs. After a windstorm downed a large tree in our front yard, I could cut it up into split-able pieces for firewood. The pile of dead branches is easily split for burning. No muss. No fuss. No gasoline-mixing. No fear.
My gas-powered chain saw beast gummed up on me, and after success with the Greenworks 84V blower, I bought the 18" chainsaw. I felled my 35 food tall, nearly dead cherry tree without a hitch, trimmed it up, and cut the trunk (as wide in diameter as the blade at it's widest) into firewood sized pieces. I had plenty of power, I liked the weight balance, and I only had to stop every now and then to change batteries and fill the chail oil reservoir. I loved the convenience of not having to pull the start cord or mess with mixed gasoline. I think this saw will serve me well. I had a professional tree feller taking down a 65' spruce for me at the same time, and he was impressed with the power of my Greenworks saw.
I bought this 2 years ago. Have used it numerous times. Cuts great and batteries last as long as I do. Will cut any tree average home is willing to tackle.
