Hello B chase,
Thank you for your feedback! Chains stretch with use. When new, they stretch more. The tension on a new or newish chain should be checked and tightened every 20 minutes of cutting or so, it can get away from you fast. This is normal stretching. Tension techniques can be found in the owner's manual. If you require additional assistance, please contact us directly at 1-888-909-6757 and we will provide an instructional guide to help you navigate the tension on your chain. We look forward to speaking to you.
Had a dead tree to fell but was concerned about going electric. This Chain Saw worked great and had enough battery for the complete job. Gave 4 stars only because it didn't come with chain oil, so I had to make a separate run to buy some before using. Otherwise, as advertised and worked well.
Don’t be fooled by its size. This is a compact power house. Strong cutting capacity which is equal to if not surpasses some compatible gas chainsaws. 80 V all the way.
This is a powerful chainsaw for around the house cleanup of unwanted, dead or dying trees, branches, etc. It is clean and easy without the fuss of gasoline or extension cords. I highly recommend this chainsaw. Excellent Design and Look.
These 80v tools make everything so handy, quick and easy to use. No more mixing fuel and having to adjust chokes while trying to pull start. I now have the chain saw, blower, weed eater and this pole saw. They are all great.
We have two chain saws and a tree branch 80volt saw my wife and I just love them to help improve our 45 acres. Always start! As compared to the gas chainsaws.
Out performs expectations and is extremely user friendly. The saw is easy to operate, reliable and out performs a gas operated saw. I have purchased other Greenworks tools and the products are high quality and all perform as marketed. These are the go-to tolls for today's do it yourself home owners.
We purchased this 18" cordless electric chainsaw after using a 16" chainsaw and a 10" polesaw manufactured by Greenworks. Although the chainsaw we purchased is larger, it is every bit as quiet, efficient, and easy to handle as the two smaller electric saws. The need for a cordless power tool is pretty obvious, but switching from gas- to electric-power makes very good sense for working outdoors in the tinder-dry Western US: We don't want to be the ones who start a forest fire. Also, and most personally important to us, is the incredible power of this tool. We both have damaged our hands and wrists over the decades with tough outdoor work on farms, ranches, woodlands, and foreign wars. This chainsaw has all the power we need, without the bucking, kickback, or resistance of old-fashioned gas-powered chainsaws. Cutting logs is almost as easy as slicing bread with this saw. Love it!
