I have a 40V Chainsaw of another brand, but wants to utilize my 80V battery collection from my Lawnmower/weedwhacker. This thing has a lot of power and it very maneuverable considering it is 4' longer than my other saw.
This quickly enabled me to take down a dead tree (in conjunction with the pole saw). While the tree wasn't big (only 10" in diameter) this allowed me to quickly and quietly cut through the trunk and cut it into pieces. I was very impressed. I was even more impressed that my battery (4AH) reported almost full power afterwards.
I bought this a few weeks ago and already have used it to trim some trees. It works well and helped me trim a tree that needed a lot of help and helped me take down a tree (in conjunction with the brushless chain saw) in a short amount of time.
All power! Just the tool you need for the application at hand. Has a sizable bar and doesn't bind when taking down bigger trees like other electric chainsaws.
I moved into a home with a wood burning fireplace. Nearby there are plenty of fallen trees available. I am tired of mixing gas and oil and working on saws that are difficult to start. Hence I thought I would give the Greenworks 16" 80v saw a try. I am very pleased. It easily cut through 12" oak logs. The battery lasted long enough to fill my 5' x 8' trailer although if you intend to cut more I recommend a second battery. It is a treat to press a button and instantly you are cutting logs. Changing the chain is easier than previous saws I have owned.
