When I first got got the chain saw I was impressed by the power and how easy was to use it . I cut a poplar tree in one charge , however every time I use it the battery will last less and less. I estimated that I used the chainsaw for about 25 hours total in the last 8mo and now the battery last for about 5min . The replacement batteries are very expensive , so basically in the chain saw is useless. Pretty disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Adam70,
We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase. We would be interested in gathering some more information pertaining to this issue so that we can properly assist you. Please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
Plenty of power to cut through a ten inch diameter oak tree that came down in a recent storm. Made short work of cutting the trunk into 15” logs to be split later.
