had two saws here for 10 years heating our home with 24 cords of wood each winter. have used all types & makes since direct drives & two-man 5' 2cycles. pulled my shoulder out on an old poulan 409. the Pro 80 18" gets a 6x6 ton of lumber with two batteries in 40mins-1hr with quieter on demand power.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Effective, Powerful
I've had this saw 4 years or so. I have a sawmill and use it to cut trees down, trim logs, cut firewood, slabwood and branches. Mostly Doug Fir but cut all types. Biggest tree I cut was 24" Pine. I've gone thru a few chains and just put a new bar on. My charger quit working and was promptly replaced, just under the warranty period. Customer service has been great, I love the saw and folks are usually impressed how well it works - its all about keeping the chain razor sharp! Great tool - just noticed the 60V saw is rated more powerful??Might have to try that next!
This is great for being quiet in the neighborhood and still getting work done. It's very easy to bring it along when traveling too. It can cut two rings off very dense mesquite before it needs to be charged. Mesquite is very hard on saws and this has held up when I have already burned up other saws. I am hard on it too
I wouldn't buy this if I were a logger running a saw all day 6 days a week, but it's plenty for what I need. Right out of the box I used it to fell a 20 or so inch dead gum in my yard. Got most of it cut into firewood on the first charge.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Effective, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello Red89,
Thank you for your review. We are concerned to read that you are not completely satisfied with the amount of cuts you are getting with this battery, this 2Ah battery can provide up to 100 cuts per charge. Please know that batteries in the same voltage platform will ultimately perform the same but the run time will vary. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is, the more run time the battery has to offer. We would be happy to investigate to see whether your cuts to run time would be considered average, simply contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
Bought this a couple of months ago and have used it twice. It cuts well but is really heavy with the battery. My gas chainsaw is lighter, which shocked me. It also leaks oil like crazy. It just runs out the cap and also I think it puts too much out for the chain. It also throws the chain constantly. I don't know why but just cutting some branches off a downed tree it would pop off. It did that 3 times while I was trying to trim a bunch of small branches of a dead pine tree.
Pros: Quiet, Powerful

Hello Dave B99,
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you have been enjoying the way the chainsaw cuts! It is unfortunate that you have experienced these issues. We ask that you please lease contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.
Chain kicked off fairly quickly. Could have been my fault for not getting tension right but it does appear that this is a fairly common issue. However, trying to source compatible spare has posed many more challenges. When it worked it worked well but the overall rating has to go down because of parts issues. If I could source them I would do the work myself but.......Also conversation with authorized repairer included instructions to bring battery and charger in. Am I to stop using other Greenwork's tools while this is repaired ? Surely it wouldn't be too much to require, yes that is right - require, an authorized repairer to have all the tools for the job.
Pros: Quiet, Powerful

Dear Chainless in Granby,
Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns! We are sorry to hear of the challenges you are experiencing. We would like to take this opportunity to respond to the issues you have mentioned in your review.
First, we recommend bringing the battery and charger that was purchased with your Greenworks product or tool to the Authorized Service Center to perform the necessary diagnostic testing. Service centers do not have the capacity to hold all our batteries and chargers for testing. We apologies for any inconvenience this news may cause.
Second, regarding the teasion, heat causes chains to stretch and should be checked and tightened as needed but should not be tightened after use, unit should be stored with loose chain so that when using next time the unit has to be checked and any potential hazards or defects will be noticed.
Tighten the chain to having a dime space when pulled away from bar chain will expand and can be tightened when being repetitively used but should be stored with a loose fitting chain.
Lastly, you can use the specs from your manual to find the (Oregon) chain. Oregon chains are sold at a variety of retailers and on www.greenworkstools.com.
If you have any issues locating a chain, please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us at Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
