[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made this purchase in order to have the tools I needed to clean up the back yard after the result of hurricane Debbie. I fairly large tree had fallen the back yard and I needed some much stronger than my corded electric chainsaw, after looking online at review, I settled on this chainsaw in particular. I saw that it had just what I needed to get this job taken care of easily and fairly quickly so that I could then mow the back yard as usual. Once again I have turned to the Greenworks brand as it has never let me down in my time of need.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I’m impressed, I had an older Greenworks 40volt chainsaw and it’s a toy compared to this. Power to spare. I also listened some of the other reviewers and changed out the chain for an Oregon one and that also made a noticeable difference.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about 3 years ago, and we are still in love with this chain saw. We have had zero issues from day 1. We also own several other Greenworks cordless tools including lawn mower, pole saw, cordless fan can't wait to purchase the hedge trimmer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Greenworks tools and have been very happy with them. Unfortunately, this tool is a disappointment. I used it for the first time today and it is very heavy and cumbersome to use. It is a fixed length and can't be shortened. Its 9 foot length makes it unwieldily to transport and to store. It really needs to be easier to collapse for storage. I really wish this tool used the same small motor and bar from the 24V hand held chain saw with the 6" bar. That would really improve the usability of this tool. I do not recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with our other tools the chainsaw quality is excellent. It was easy to assemble, much quieter and no gas! It also came with a nice storage case and chain protector.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comes sharp but loses sharpness really quick. After cutting a few logs is no longer sharp
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Aldo Mora,
We are concerned to hear the teeth on your chain are wearing quicker than expected. Trees that are dirty when you cut them could cause your chainsaw chain to become dull, as abrasive material in the dirt, such as rocks, can grind down your chainsaw. Ensure that you remove bark that contains dirt before using your chainsaw. It can also occur from regular use or accidental contact with hard materials. There is no predetermined expiration date for a chainsaw chain. A chainsaw chain can be sharpened many times, before it needs to be replaced. Our chains may be sharpened using a 5/32” round file. We hope this information helpful. Should you have any questions or warranty needs, contact us through Live Chat on Greenworks Tools website or call 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). We would like the opportunity to speak with you to see if we can find a solution.
