The watch is great if it's connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Other than texts there's effectively no LTE data capability though. The watch overheated all 3 times I tried streaming a podcast on a walk without my phone. Calls out of phone range kill the battery.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you have an LTE smartwatch model, there are several reasons why it may not activate or may disconnect from your mobile network after pairing it with a new phone. Whether you're using a phone, tablet, smartwatch, or earbuds, all Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. I love this new version! It's sleek and the resolution is very sharp. My only criticism is that many apps are not compatible with it it. This could be because it is so new, but many watch face options cannot be used which is a major bummer.

Trade-In value was a little lower than I expected but the upgrade from the Frontier3 to the Galaxy 7 has been a great improvement. It isn't as bulky and very user friendly. I use it mainly for fitness/swimming and the ability to stay water-safe is amazing.

For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. The first thing we recommend doing is making sure to keep your watch's battery updated to the latest version available. From your phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app. Depending on your watch, you will either tap Watch settings or tap SETTINGS tab. Then, tap About watch, and then tap Update watch software.
