A brief loss of power and surge in an instant power return killed the battery in our AVR550U. Of course, that meant that none of the equipment plugged into it was damaged. Tripplite was 100% terrific in providing a new unit. It was easy to install and has our Audio/Visual equipment is protected again. Thank you Tripplite!
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Quiet Operation, Reliable, Small Footprint, Terrific service - they answer their phone
Cons: A blip in our power killed the battery

Shortly after I installed the Tripp unit--on the same day it was delivered, our power went out and the unit did its job. We feel more protected having this connected to our computers. Also like that it is small and compact.

The new device is working even better, and I can say this is a quality purchase if you are looking to protect core devices (without going the energy usage). The Tripp Lite 550VA works for all those brief interruptions in power and provide a good audible alarm to insure time to close down and protect your PC. This i smy second - The first lasted for five years. gives back up and surge protection for all your electronics!
