I have had this for several years now and it has never missed even a small glitch in the power supply. It came with a firewire type cord and there is a female part to this on the front of the machine, but the cable does not fit and there is no cable that I have that fits that hole. I have yet to find the usb connection. Therefore, there is no way to connect and control it through my computer. The alarm noise is extremely loud and quickly becomes annoying. In an outage, this has plenty of power to keep the tv, computer, modem, router and lamp on until I can switch over to my solar backup system.

I like that this protector has more outlets. Unfortunately the larger plugs on some devices take up more space than a standard outlet necessitating more space between outlets or more outlets.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Long Battery Life, Quiet Operation, Reliable, Small Footprint

Needed a GPS for our pellet stove in case of power outages and was very impressed with the capabilities of the unit when it arrived. It is more than capable of providing safe shutdown when ever there is a power outage. Plus with five protected plugins and five non protected five non protected plugins. There's enough plugins for the whole living room. I love it! Piece of mind 24/7
