I've only had this for a few weeks, but it's been great. Very easy to install and cools down the area very quickly.

We have only had this unit for a couple of months but so far it has performed pretty well. The quality is very good and setup was simple. It cools our bedroom with little effort. My only complaint is that it is a bit noisy when the compressor shuts down at the end of the cooling cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Living in Montana one wouldn't think we need an air conditioner. After 6 years of unusually hot summers, we caved and bought this GE portable air conditioner for our Master bedroom. We've been running it at night for about 3 weeks and are very pleased with the cooling. With our ceiling fan on low pushing the cool air down, it's the perfect combination. My only "complaint" is that when it reaches set temp, the compressor turns off for about a minute or two, then turns back on. The normal noise of the running unit doesn't bother us, as we like "white noise," so when it turns off (no noise) and then back on (noise), it wakes us up a lot. Installation instructions were a little tricky but we managed with a little improvisation. All in all, we do recommend it for great cooling for such a small, inexpensive air conditioner.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fairly easy set up.. We actually got it to work with a casement window by using a piece of basically plexi glass cutting a hole in it, leaving the window open worked,just fine.

cools quietly and quickly rase in operation, I don’t live in very humid area so have not had to empty dehumidifier tray at all, my home is 1900 sq ft ranch and I have three of these now, very happy with my purchase
