I love my seven quart mixer and how quietly it runs. Plus it has enough power to knead six loaves of bread.

Upgrade for the speeds and capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this mixer for Christmas because my husband knew I was getting more equipment to make bread and thought the bigger mixer would be better. I have had a Heavy Duty 5.5KA mixer for 25 years and never had a problem, so I didn’t understand the upgrade. I love that mixer! Having more speeds and a bigger bowl is a luxury. The kneading with the dough hook is greatly improved and this mixer can handle the larger quantities. While I hated changing, my daughter has promised to love my now-vintage mixer!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another LEMON, not the workhorse advertised

Purchased in July 2024 to replace 2 older versions that needed repair. I used it for the 4th time today (Decemebr 18, 2024) to make brioche dough. The machine stopped after about 4 minutes kneading with dough hook on speed 2. Top of the machine temp reading 124ºF (dough 75ºF). Needs at least another 8 minutes to develop the gluten. So i'm left with a bowl full of undready dough and a quasi-brand new DEAD machine. I've been more and more disappointed in Kitchenaid over this past year. Customer service recently took 4 phone calls of about 1 hour wait time, and several never ending chats just to get a handmixer delivered (that took 11 days). As I type this I'm on hold again, while trying to get holiday baking done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] VERY heavy, difficult to move. Splatter guard is worthless as ingredients fly out the back opening. Mixes extremely well & good for large batches but question if it is worth the hassle of moving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mixer after first use! It was a difficult to attach the bowl to the mixer on the first attempt and required some wrestling but once secured, was fine. The raise/lower motion screeched the first few times but has quieted down — I think it was just a tight fit. The beater and whip work much better on this model than on my prior mixers. This is my 4th KitchenAid and is the best.
I would recommend this to a friend!
