Lever stiff and attachment plate fell off

The first time I used this mixer was a disaster. I was mixing dough when I heard a loud metallic sound then the bowl flew off. After I got it shut off I found the face plate for the attachments had fallen off and into the mixing bowl. I guess it wasn't tightened at the factory and now I'm left with a beautiful pink mixer with a huge gouge and scratch on it!

Love it only wish it were a bit lighter weight. When moving on the counter very hard to do due to weight. Even the lifting of beater area heavy.be nice if solid while being lighter.

I have also been making so many new cookies and baking products. Me and my family have enjoyed easier holiday cookie making this this year.
