Worth the wait

A necessity in the kitchen

Motor Head Lock Lever is poorly designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall very good, however I am surprised that the motor head does not lock in the down position more securely. The first thing that I made was some bread. When the mixer was first started with the dough I walked away for a moment and the motor head began to kick up. The locking lever just slid off. I called service and they said there was nothing unusual here, just do smaller batches. So, instead, I'll just put a rubber band around the lever to keep it from sliding into the unlocked position.

The Artisan fits well under cabinets on a countertop and on another storage shelf. I selected the Contour Silver, which matches well with my stainless steel appliances. I purchased two accessories that were not in my mixer bundle; the secure fit pour shield and a flex edge beater.
I would recommend this to a friend!
