My knob attachment fell off & I can't get a new one

This mixer was one of my favorite Christmas presents I have ever received. I have enjoyed using it immensely. Unfortunately, the black attachment knob used to "lock and unlock" the mixer into position has fallen off, and I can't find a way to get a new one. This has been so frustrating as I've tried to contact KitchenAid Customer service many times with no response
