Great mixer

I bought this around Christmas time for my wife and she loved it. I also love it because it means I don't have to mix all those bowls of tough cookie dough or other goodies because my wife doesn't want to do it. She has been using it for months now and it is going strong and works like the day we got it. I would recommend this mixer for anyone looking.

this mixer is great. however, the one feature that my last (non-kitchenaid) mixer had that i really wish this one had, was be a locking function for when the mixer head is in the upright position. its hard to scrape the paddle clean when the mixing head keeps falling back down. i don't always have both hands free when cooking and baking.

Works hard, maybe a little too hard

This is a good, sturdy mixer for big projects, but I feel like it is way more powerful than it needs to be. It easily mixes dough and batter, but easily over mixes dough and batter to result in flat cookies and overly dense muffins. I wish it was designed to have more appropriate speeds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
