Sad day

I got my mixer about 6 years ago. It was mainly used to grind meat, mix salsa and cookie dough. The grinder was used the most. It WAS amazing. Then at around the 3 year mark the mixer "tilt-head" started to bounce. I went onto youtube and found out about the set screw. Behold a fix, or so I thought. I have been using it less and less due to this. Well it finally started to have a burning smell coming from it and the bounce kept coming back after a few uses. The mixer attachment has lost part of the white coating from bouncing and hitting the metal bowl and had to replace that twice now. I always took care of the mixer, I lifted it from the base never the head, and kept it covered with a nice cover I got. Now Im debating even getting another one. My mom got my grandmas hand down mixer that is not kitchenaid and its 30 years old and still works great. Very sad day for my mixer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Best Kitchen Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace my stand mixer due to it being damaged during a relocation, it was 18 years old and going strong with a lot of use. I love my new one - the new model no longer has a spring in the beater shaft making it so much easier to clean!! This appliance is and continues to be the best mixer on the market and worth every cent! Loyal Kitchenaide

Makes baking fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift and I really like it. It makes mixing super easy and makes me enjoy baking. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was due to how unstable it is. If I mix at high speeds, my mixer starts to rock; there would be no way I could leave it on my counter and walk away because it may rock itself tpwards the edge and fall off. Some parts seem loose also, I had to tighten some screws because the tilt was wobbly.

Leaks oil after six years of use!

Bought my Artisan Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer six years ago. Recently noticed oil dripping from motor down the sides of the stand. After checking You-Tube, apparently this has happened to many other users. I also have to tighten the set screw for the hinge pin on a regular basis. Not worth the money. My old Sunbeam Mixmaster lasted 25 years...never any problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great until a week ago

My husband bought this mixer for my birthday. I was in love with until last week it started making a loud noise n shaking like it was off track. I called the number on it to troubleshoot it but it didn’t work.
