I received my kitchenaid-artisan for Christmas and I could not be happier. It works great whether I am using it to mix up boxed brownies or making bread. I picked the iced blue color and it looks pretty sitting out on my counter.

I was given my Kitchen aid mixer as a bridal shower present from my bridal party. I was hesitant to take it out and leave on the counter BC the box was so big. I was pleasantly surprised at what little counter space was it took up! I use it for everything from mixing pancakes, cookie dough, cakes, quiche, etc. I haven't used my hand mixer for anything since I opened my kitchen aid mixer. It cleans up so easily and the 5 quart bowl is the perfect size.

I bought this just before thanksgiving when my hand mixer quit. I had been wanting a kitchen aide counter top mixer It is so convenient to add ingredients one at a time while it keeps mixing. Whipping cream is just so easy. I am looking into getting a pasta attachment that I heard was a great addition to all the other attachments it came with

I've had a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer for 10 years and have been spoiled! I bake breads weekly and always loved kneading the bread by hand, so I really didn't think I'd use this for bread baking...but once I did I was hooked (pun intended!). The Kitchenaid does a great job of kneading. I also love it for making cookies, whipping cream and egg whites. It's my favorite and most used kitchen appliance.

"mixed" feelings

I bought it for bread, but it seems to struggle with dough. It gets bogged down and makes a loud "clacking" sound. Also, I would like information on adjusting the depth of the mixer, the mixing attachments don't seem to get near the bottom of the mixing bowl. Its like it is mixing the air above the ingredients.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the mixer however it is really heavy - I keep it under the island and is heavy
