Great Cabinet Range Hood

We are pleased have this Cosmo cabinet range hood installed recently. The fans are stronger than we expected and able to function while we are cooking in the kitchen. It also has stylish design that fit in our kitchen. Check out the attached photo!

I purchased this range hood last week, and the installation was straightforward. It came with all the necessary screws and anchors for both ductless and ducted options. I would recommend to have at least two people for the installation process. The hood does the job!

The price point was great and I liked the simple look of this unit. It fits perfectly inside our newly built range hood cover. It is much quieter than any other vent I have had therefore I will use it more often. Highly recommend this unit.

Bought this for a remodel. Does exactly what is says. Doesn’t shake, fan speeds are nice without being too loud.

The hood looks great and it runs fairly quiet as long as it’s not on 3. It is very powerful on level 1. Hobby had a bit of a time installing it but he figured it out.

I was in the middle of having my kitchen remodeled and ordered the 30” Cosmo Ducted Range Hood on June 6, 2024. Finally had it installed 8/19/2024 after getting my cabinets installed. It really completed my new kitchen. The product works as stated and really looks great with the rounded edges. The depth is perfect because it covers the front burners to capture all steam and smoke. This is the 4 speed model and although noisy on the high setting it is very efficient!

Nice upgrade

Purchased this product to replace an old, loud and greasy range hood. Upon unpacking my new Cosmo Range Hood, I was pleasantly surprised. The hood appeared sleek, well built and modern. It put a smile on my face. I tested the hood before installing. It worked as expected, without issue. It has two powerful fans, two lights, 3 vent inserts and user friendly operation. The fans can be a bit loud at full speed, but not a major issue for me. The clock only displays military time and cannot be changed, disappointing, but not an issue since it is not displayed when hood is completely off. The range also measures about 29 1/2”, Consequently, when installed leaving about a quarter inch gap on both sides. The range hood also includes a flimsy remote. Unless one is of short stature, the remote is not necessary.
After watching a few YouTube installation videos, I opted to install the hood myself, not an easy task for a beginner and/or one person. The hood is a bit heavy. The installation booklet leaves a lot to be desired. I did purchase a couple of cabinet jacks making the installation process a bit easier. After a lot of maneuvering and some improvising, I got the darn thing up. Hence, my frustration. But, I’m very happy with the results and my new Cosmo Range Hood.
If you decide to install the hood yourself, here are some additional items you MAY or may not need to purchase depending on your install. Purchase list: heat resistant duct tape, vent reducer, duct crimper, wood slats, larger washers, adjustable metal strap, cabinet jacks, wood glue and wood screws. The hood has an electrical plug. Since there was no electrical outlet, I had to hard wire the hood.
Personally, I not sure if I would try this again. The DIY videos are a bit deceiving making the installation appear easier than it really is. It may be worth paying for the installation.
