LOVE Dewalt, Hate these batteries

I am a huge Dewalt fan. Every single power tool I own is Dewalt and up until now I've been very pleased with them. The lawn mower and these batteries are awful. I dropped a lot of money on these two batteries and now just a few months and a handful of cuttings the batteries will not charge. I'm not sure I can make myself buy two more batteries at this price only to be let down again.
Dewalt should recall these batteries and/or replace them at no cost to consumers. The reviews are horrible all over the internet. At this point I'm willing to begin looking at other tool brands.

First half a the season last year they did great. I could mow my yard twice on one charge. Now one of the batteries dies after 5 minutes off mowing.

Not Happy

When I first purchased the mower, it worked great. I was well pleased with it's performance. After about a month I began experiencing problems with battery life. One battery was fine, the other dead. I could only get half the yard mowed. I wrote support and after several attempts, finally was able to get a battery promised. My purchase was two 10 amh batteries, they want to send me a 9 amh now or I can wait until sometime next year for a 10 amh. I can't wait until next year to mow my yard! Left with no other choice I chose the 9 amh. Reluctantly and not at all happy about that!!! But I need a battery now. I am informed that one is on its way and will be here 10-14 days. We'll it's past that and still no battery!!! I am not asking for something free, but I would have thought that you would have upped the amh for my troubles, not lessened it!!! I am beginning to regret buying all the Dewalt things that I have!!! I should have stuck with Milwaukee

Battery life = not very good

I purchased my 21" mower exactly one year ago. This spring, the batteries won't spin the blade for more than 2 seconds. A set of batteries should last the average homeowner with less than 1/4 acre at least two or three years - particularly given the cost.

I received two of these batteries with my Dewalt mower last year. I did not have an issue until I started to use them this season. They will not last more than half an hour without dying.

Battery Died after 10 uses

Like so many other reviews, one of the two batteries that came with the mower died and simply will not charge back up for some reason. I have to use a 5AH battery to supplement, but that does not give me near enough run time to cover even my flat quarter acre (and I don't even use the self-paced feature). Very upset - given how expensive these batteries are to replace, they should be covered under some sort of warrant

Batteries went bad after 1 summer

These batteries worked great on my DeWalt self propelled lawn mower last year. When I tried to mow my lawn this year, I am getting 15 minutes of runtime before they lose charge. I started to upgrade my tools a few years ago and chose DeWalt somewhat based on quality. Not very impressed with this product - a first (and hopefully last) disappointment brought to me by DeWalt...

Defective

Got these with the mower last summer, and the first mow I could do nearly my entire 1/4 yard. The next few times, I was able to do less and less. This year, the mower won't even go 5 feet before dying, even though the batteries show 3 bars. The other battery packs I use with drills will go at least 20 minutes so it ism't the mower.
