Splitting wood

I purchased 4 of these Adirondack chairs a few weeks ago. We set them up and put them on our deck but haven’t even sat in them yet. The wood has split terribly on 3 out of the 4 chairs and it looks like I’ve had them for years, not weeks. I can only imagine how these are going to look and feel in a couple months from now. I am very unhappy with this purchase and feel like I wasted my money, since I will inevitably have to replace these very soon. Based on my experience, I would not recommend these chairs.
