The wood is very light and flimsy, directions were pictures only nothing written, and no pilot holes for arm rest, making it difficult to line up, and pattern for seat slats was improper.

Love this chair! I bought it unfinished so I put a coat of Tung Oil on all the pieces first. FYI, I am a 67 year old woman (who enjoys a good puzzle) and I had no problem putting this chair together with just my Phillips screwdriver. The holes are predrilled and I didn’t need to help any of them along. I also appreciated the extra screws and bolts just in case you drop one down a register or something!

People that are upset because this chair comes unassembled are just lazy and don't want to read. It clearly states in the specifications that this chair needs to be assembled. Assembly is not difficult, and the chair is great!
