I got these for $40 each through best choice products promotional (BPCHAIR code on checkout) and I’m happy with them. Assembly is a bit of a chore, as there are about 28 pieces that need to be screwed together, but the quality of wood is satisfactory and the instructions are adequate. I coated each piece with polyurethane before assembly, then gave the surfaces you come in contact with while sspitting a light sanding and a second coat after assembly. I was concerned that the chairs might be too small as I was putting them together, but they’re fine for us. These are not the big Adirondack chairs that some might expect, and those with more girth might find them too small. I like the light weight and foldability as they’ll be easy to store for the winter. Ordered two initially, and just ordered another pair.
These chairs are an excellent value but you need to be handy to put them together and have the right tools. It takes about an hour for one chair and to secure the bolts and nuts and it’s best with 2 people! Overall nice looking as we sanded and stained them.
These chairs are comfortable and, I think, pretty sturdy (we haven't had them long). One of the chair arms has cracks in the wood, which bothers me, but not enough to send the whole chair back.
I would suggest to put another coat of a water sealant if you plan to leave them outside a lot. And do use a power drill for assembly, there are a lot of screws, your wrist and hand will thank you.
The chair is great but you have to assemble it which takes about one hour. The bolts and the nuts don’t match so I ended up buying ones that have the same thread.
