I've owned this about 6 years and never had a problem. I've probably used it about 7 times a year cleaning house, deck, driveway, porch and vehicles.

The product is your 1700 PSI Electric Pressure Washer GPW1704.
I used the Washer to clean my driveway pavers yesterday. After pausing for lunch, I attempted to resume my work.
The Washer would not start.This was extremely frustrating.
I reviewed your Troubleshooting recommendations in your manual. None of that helped.
I phoned your Customer Service. I was told I was number 252 in the queue. That's quite unbelievable.
I read the questions and answers on your web site.
Today, I followed your written guidelines to purge the Washer.
I set up everything, followed your insructions, and still the Washer would not start.
I phoned Customer Service again. I was told that I was number 54 in the queue!
I have wasted a tremendous amount of my limited time trying to get this piece of equipmet to work.
Right now, I am outraged by all of this.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about this experience. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this pressure washer. This issue can be caused by a few factors such as excess air trapped in the pump or clogged nozzles. Here you will find some troubleshooting suggestions to resolve these issues. 1) Clean the nozzles, soak all of your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to malfunction or power off. 2) Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. We have been inundated with email requests and calls. The white 40-degree tip, referred to as the “fan” tip creates the widest area of cleaning with relatively low pressure. This pressure washer tip is best used for light or delicate cleaning applications. It is recommended for light cleaning on wood decks and other soft or delicate surfaces. This nozzle is best suited for cars, patio furniture and fencing. The green pressure washer tip provides high versatility with its 25-degree angle tip. Referred to as the washing tip, because it provides adequate pressure to remove dirt from surfaces but is designed to not damage many surfaces. This pressure washer tip is designed for “sweeping” foliage or debris given its wide angle. This tip is versatile due to its wide area of cleaning and strong pressure application. Worked well, until it quit mid-job

Used this about 5 times total. Today, in the midst of spraying off citricstrip, it died. Power light is on but the unit is totally dead. Tried purging air and nothing. Out of warranty because I bought it last year. Planned obsolescence is extremely annoying and expensive.

We're sorry to hear your GreenWorks pressure washer is no longer functioning. Please be advised if the unit has not been properly shut down after use it can be in resting mode. To activate the pump you would simply squeeze the trigger handle. Please also make sure to purge the unit prior to each use:
The unit should be off.
Connect the garden hose to the pressure washer.
Connect the high pressure hose and the spray gun/wand. No nozzle.
Turn the water on.
Hold down and squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to purge out any water or air from the unit for a good 1 - 2 minutes. This will relieve any built-up pressure.
While you're still holding the trigger switch the pressure washer to on.
This unit does come with a manufacturer's warranty and we will gladly take a closer look into these issues should the above troubleshooting not help. Please contact GreenWorks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com.

Bought 2 of them 2 years ago to use at our primary home and lake home. They have probably been used 15-20 hours each. Both will now not operate, no matter what I try!
